Track: Happy (Hardcore)

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

Happy PeachYes, yes, yes… It’s been a LONG time since the last post in the Earwax category. It’s not that I haven’t been doing any tracks - It’s that I haven’t been finishing them. I’ve explained about my attention span before, I’m sure.

Anyway, here I present to you a glitchy, bell-y piece I’m pretty happy with - I’d been toying with the ideas in it for a while, and plopped it out on the long weekend (which seems like it was oh-so-long-ago now).

It’s called Happy (Hardcore). But it’s not particularly happy or hardcore. And certainly isn’t Happy Hardcore. Pffft. Whatever.

Tracks: Fakin ‘n’ Jumping & Eye of the booty.

Thursday, March 10th, 2005

shakeyYou know the saying “Beware the day that’s five days before the Ides of March”? Well today is the day that day. And in-keeping with the annual traditional that dates back to the time of the 486 (some say even earlier) I am releasing karaoke backing tracks that I have messed around with in a sound editor.

The tracks may be fairly unlistenable, but consider yourself fortunate that I had forgotten about the “Nones of March” annual tradition. That can be challenging at best.

Fakin’ n Jumpin - released under my spinnin’ moniker, DJ RevolvesIt. Well, not really. [~1.8Mb, mp3].

EyeOfTheBooty - I don’t know what happened here. I’m sorry. [~1.9Mb, mp3].

Let me know if you require more information on the Five-days-before-the-Ides-of-March-karaoke-cut-up’s origin. I warn you though, it’s a sizeable tale. Happy V Ides.

Track: The Young And The Wrestlers

Monday, November 8th, 2004

The Young And The WrestlersA crazy breaks and broken mash of noise and things. Featuring BaikinMan on vocals, this track packs quite an “an-pun-chi”.

The Young And The Wrestlers [~3.0Mb, mp3].

Track: Non-breaking space

non-breaking space
Another not so new track. Thought I’d whack it up. Non-breaking space was getting a swag of radio play on Sydney’s fbi radio, which was fun.

Clikity cricks and trickles with too much reverb but lovely beats. And you can never have too much reverb.

Non-breaking space [~2.8Mb, mp3].

Track: Nightsoil

nightsoil
New track from Mr. Speaker. Nightsoil is an awfully lovely synthy clicky thing. Do have a listen!

Nightsoil [~5.0Mb, mp3].

Track: Chocobarrie

chocobarrieHere’s a track I did ages ago. It’s just off the MrSpeaker.net site actually. A bit of messed up breaks and sounds for long wintery days.

Chocobarrie [3.6Mb, mp3].
